Keep reading to learn a little about the business but for now, this is about me.
I have always had a keen interest in all things outdoors, Its almost like cabin fever, I cant bare to be indoors when there is something I could be doing outside.
Fortunately, business and pleasure do cross over for me and I can often be found walking the lakes with a ultra light rod in hand chasing those Pike and Perch. I am always happy to pass on this knowledge so do feel free to ask.
Crossing over to the shooting, gaining my Registered Firearms Dealers licence was huge milestone for me and has opened up my horizons massively, my humble beginnings shooting my trusty .22 B2 air rifle (ironically, purchased from the previous owner of the business) this went full circle when I sold him a gun also .. funny how life turns out.
Those early days shooting bean tins off a fence have now turned into shooting targets upto 1000 yards away using firearms I could only dream of.
This constant practice and learning puts me in good position when you ! the customer walk in that door and ask the questions that only hands on experience can provide and I will continue to expand my own personal product knowledge to enable me to help you the best I can.
My promise to you, I wont sell you something you don't need or is not fit for purpose. My advice is honest and sincere and you will never experience the hard sell.

Jumping around from job to job it was clear there wasn't many roles out there I was happy doing for someone else.
Whitehaven has had an established Fishing tackle shop for many years but I felt the shooting community lacked representation, fast forward a year or so and Cumbria Tackle and Guns was born.
Its proven to be a difficult market to get established in but its all heading in the right direction now, I am pleased to have a growing number of regular customers with new faces walking instore every single day.
Cumbria Tackle and Guns will always be a place where I will listen intently to someone offering advice and life experience, I was once told, "you have twice as many ears as you do mouths .. so listen twice as much as you speak" a valid point id say.
Flip that comment around, I have a constant influx of new anglers and shooters almost daily, to that extent, my advice is free ! all you have to do is listen to it, if you want it.
